Before there was a DCEU or even an MCU, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced he would play DC Comics’ Black Adam in a feature film. And in July 2002, that movie will finally be up on theater screens. Not only will the Shazam! villain turned anti-hero make his debut in a solo film, but so will DC’s first-ever super team, the Justice Society of America.

Among them are two legendary DC heroes, making their film debuts. Former 007 Pierce Brosnan is the sorcerer Dr. Fate, whose helmet of Nabu grants him the power of an ancient Egyptian wizard. Also, finally making it to live-action movies is Hawkman, played by Aldis Hodge. Rounding out the JSA are its junior members, Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell). In the comics, both characters are inheritors of the mantles of classic JSA members the Atom and Red Tornado.
